James R. Baker Speaker of the Year Award: Tom Caulfield

The James R. Baker Speaker of the Year Award is named for an ACFE faculty member who taught hundreds of classes and instructed thousands of anti-fraud professionals. The award was first presented to Jim Baker himself in 2008, who lost his battle with cancer the same year. Since then, the award is given annually to a speaker who demonstrates the best qualities that Mr. Baker exhibited: Dedication. Experience. Knowledge. Professionalism. This year’s winner, Tom Caulfield, has more than forty years of combined experience in the private sector, federal government and the military.

Dr. David Glodstein is an associate professor in the department of accounting, taxation and business law at the State University of New York College at Old Westbury.

Chapter of the Year and Chapter Website of the Year Awards

ACFE local chapters are organized by dedicated members residing in a particular geographic region (i.e., a city, state or country) who share an interest in the detection and deterrence of fraud. Chapters act as local representatives of the ACFE, providing continued support for members worldwide. Chapters help fraud fighters stay at the forefront of local anti-fraud issues and emerging trends. The ACFE has more than 196 chapters in 80 countries, and we are excited to honor two of these chapters for their hard work and dedication this past year.
